Each year, the Woodfin Police Department organizes a drive to provide school supplies and back-to-school clothing and shoes for area students in need. This year, Reynolds Mountain residents Tom and Lee Chapman hosted an open house, collecting supplies and raising money to augment the Town's efforts. The result was an overwhelming success. Back-to-school donations filled an SUV and the Chapmans collected $1100 to be used to help fund the free lunch program. Thanks to the Woodfin Police Department and the generosity of people like the Chapmans and their neighbors at Reynolds Mountain, dozens of children in Woodfin will have the tools and clothing they need to start a successful new school year.
